Quality metadata, made simple.
Convertgence is a Mac application that analyses your photographs with AI and writes their metadata, in English, French, German, Spanish or Chinese.
Three hundred photos to caption tonight? Convertgence handles it.
How it works
Precise metadata, worthy of your photographs.
We use the latest generation of artificial-intelligence models to generate the metadata of your images. Your photos never train any AI: a reduced copy is used only for the duration of the analysis, then deleted.

A whole shoot, in one move.
Drop a folder: the photos come in at once, filed by folder. Give the place and the context once, on the selection: they guide the captioning of the whole batch, be it a hundred photographs or three thousand.
Metadata
Every field you need, filled in.
Every field stock agencies expect is filled in and written into the file: title, caption, keywords, IPTC Media Topics categories, location, author and rights. Each lands in its place, in the image as well as in a RAW file's .xmp sidecar.

The location, found on its own.
If your photographs carry GPS coordinates, Convertgence derives the city, region and country, and the analysis ends the caption with the place. A location you have already entered is never replaced.

Languages
Five languages, and a Translate button.
International agencies in English, French agencies in French, German, Spanish or Chinese clients in their own language: you pick the language at each analysis.
A finished record translates in one click, and each language goes into the file under its own code.

Everything you need
IPTC Media Topics categories
IPTC categories and subcategories, with definitions and search; their codes are written into the files.
Direct upload to your client's servers
SFTP, FTP, WebDAV or S3: your captioned photos go out from the export window. The originals stay put.
Tags and custom order
File your photos under coloured tags, and drag one between two others to set your own order.
⌘Z for every action
A field, a keyword, a batch, a rename, a translation: everything can be undone, and ⇧⌘Z redoes it.
Series renaming
A name and a starting number: the whole series is renumbered, RAW twin and .xmp included. ⌘Z undoes it.
Write to copies
Keep the originals untouched: deliver an English version and a French version in two folders.
Quick Look and keyboard
Space to see a photo large, arrows to move from one photo to the next, ⌘F to search everywhere.
Signed by Apple, automatic updates
Notarised by Apple: no warning at install. Updates download on their own and install when you quit.

From the settings: the app, its library and its settings go to the Trash. Your photos stay where they are.
